In reply to Jamie Frederick.

Hey Jamie! We reuse the charts from one year to the next and almost always pre-create them. We add or modify charts along the way. Sometimes the students come up with better anchor charts than we originally had, so we make a switch at that point. We also allow some of our more artistic and responsible students to make anchor charts for the classroom. Hope this helps! :)

Do you reuse anchor charts each year? Do you create them in front of the students, or do you have them pre-created? As a high school science teacher, I love this idea, but am curious as to how you do it because doing it 6 times for 6 different classes seems like a lot.

Hey Laura! Do you teach science? If so, we could send you some photos of the various anchor charts we use. Feel free to shoot us an email to TheScienceDuo@gmail.com if you have any other questions. :)

In reply to Joelle.

Thanks for contacting us! The anchor charts we make are usually a standard or big concept. You can choose to create them for anything that you want your students to retain though. We often have our students create their own anchor charts, show them to the class, and vote on a favorite to be displayed. It doesn't take long and the students enjoy being creative. The chart should display quick summary of a big concept.
