Put that hard copy grade sheet on a clip board, do on the fly assessing (really motivates kids to get started) Keep track of attendance on there too, and any notes. New kids can be added easily, until the computer catches up.

I print my plan book learning targets, the grade /attendance sheet once a week. Date it. Easy place for any documentation. Use a bright colored clipboard and you have it made.

I make a seating chart on the promethian board. Little squares to represent desks, and put the kids name or initials on it. Displays on the board, and easy to change, and you can print it.

Natalie ...

I was so happy to read that someone else keeps a hard-copy of their grades. All of the new teachers make fun of me ... I will never be without my hard copy of grades! And I like the angled desk arrangement ... going to try that this year.

Happy Summer!
